Float Decorating is a behind-the-scenes magic that most people don’t get to see. In the final days before the parade, volunteers and floral experts work around the clock to cover every inch of the massive floats with fresh flowers, seeds, and natural materials. The air is filled with the scent of roses and orchids. It’s an exclusive, up-close experience that is unforgettable!
Why Float Decorating is Unique:
- Everything must be made of natural materials.
- Designers work for months to plan floats, but volunteers are essential in the final days leading up to the parade.
- Volunteers of all ages come from around the world to help decorate.
- Decorating usually happens in the last week of December, creating a festive, buzzy atmosphere in the float barns and tents.
- The Rose Parade is broadcast to millions around the world—and you can say you helped build it!
How to sign up?
Included in all 4-night Diamond Travel packages! Simply choose either the Rose Parade or the Rose Parade + Game package, and you’ll be able to add this experience during registration.
